Worcester Kodály’s Every Child Campaign was supported by the Express Yourself Pop Choir  at their Summer Show at Nunnery Wood High School Theatre. The choir raised hundreds of pounds for our campaign and as a result we have been able to kick start our free training days. Great music, great cake, great cause.

Lee Russell ran the Worcester Half Marathon in aid of Worcester Kodály’s new campaign to provide quality music education for every child in Worcester. It’s a partnership between Worcester Kodály, the British Kodály Academy and Lyppard Grange Primary School to provide free teacher training in music to teachers in our local schools. Quality music education, especially through singing, can improve children’s confidence and self esteem. It also helps them stay calmer and more focused in the classroom. We can empower our teachers, whose training in this area is limited due to pressures on school funds.
